Silverstern started as our founder's pet project for the Jetta Club Philippines. Ed Araga was getting married then and was looking for a good side gig to earn a little extra for the big day. Selling small accessories for the Jetta, he soon recieved a lot of requests from other members as well. From accessories, it grew to modifications, electronics and soon to vehicle maintenance. It did help that Ed is running an auto repair shop, and his knowledge with cars let him give valuable advices for various Volkswagen owners in uderstanding how to diagnose their cars.

Later on Hans Fernandez joined the team through LM tuning. Hans was handling the marketing and expansion for LM Tuning Philippines and was looking at the Volkswagen market with Ed's help on the technical side. The two worked on a lot of vehicles and did a lot of projects for the VW Community  (Especially with their own personal car modification projects) Hans has been handling non life insurance for more than 5 years, helping numerous clients with their insurance needs. 

George on the other hand is an established parts supplier for the VW community. Armed with a background in electronics and IT, he is known to find the right parts and the best prices for them worldwide.  He is an avid Volkswagen Automotive group fan and continues to help with the groups online giving his advice on automotive maintenance. He has been working with Ed and Hans for quite some time for various projects as well.

As demand for Volkswagen maintenance grew, the three gentlemen have seen that this is the right time to formally work together and build their own shop. The Malabon branch has always been packed and the team sought to get a second branch that is closer to its clients. Hence they started the independent Silverstern shop  and the Quezon City branch aims to be focused on servicing European vehicles as well. The team's goal is to provide the newest technologies and fastest turn around time for vehicle repair through great parts availability.
